Faith Fest is Coming!
Saturday, September 14, 2:00 – 7:00 PM at the Harford County Equestrian Center. Faith Fest is a day of family, faith and fun to discover, celebrate and deepen our faith. Jesse Manibusan, Curtis Stephan and Francesca Battistelli are three great performers you won’t want to miss. Bring your children to climb the rock wall, bounce in the bouncy houses, get their faces painted, visit with the Little Sisters of the Poor, eat some great food, listen to some inspiring Christian music and join us with Archbishop Lori for the closing Mass at 7:00 PM, followed by a fantastic fireworks display. For more info, visit www.faithfest.us.
Faith Fest Volunteers Needed
Do you want to volunteer to help with this spectacular event? Volunteers are needed for a variety of tasks, including set up, parking, vendor assistance, information booth, welcoming, kids area helper, sacrament helpers, water/soda helpers, clean up, and more. Contact our parish volunteer coordinator for Faith Fest, Theresa Konitzer, at firstname.lastname@example.org. REMINDER: All volunteers for Faith Fest must be VIRTUS trained (see Virtus training below).
Virtus Training for All Volunteers
The Archdiocese has implemented an online training and screening system for those who volunteer in our parish community.
ALL volunteers – both those who have substantial contact with minors and those who do not – must register at www.virtusonline.org in order for our parish to be in compliance with Archdiocesan youth protection requirements for volunteers, employees, minors and clergy.
Volunteers who have substantial contact with children must also renew their background check and training every five years on Virtus.
Thank you for serving as a volunteer at St. John Parish and for complying with the Archdiocese requirements. Complete or update your certification easily online at www.virtusonline.org.
To check your status or for assistance with Virtus, please contact Jennifer Ehrlich in the parish office, email@example.com or 410-592-6206, ext. 104.
