June 15 Daily Prayer & Update

Today’s Prayer – June 15

by Shawn Blair, Business Manager

Glorious Saint Anthony of Padua, gentlest of saints, we continue to celebrate your feast day (Saturday). We thank you for the miracles with which you have filled the Church and the world for 800 years.

St. Anthony, you were known for your great preaching. In fact, on one occasion, people foolishly refused to listen to you and the fish stood at attention listening. Crowds gathered in great numbers to hear you preach. Guide those who preach to us today, our Holy Father, Holy Father Emeritus, bishops and priests.

St. Anthony, you gave up a life of wealth to live humbly as a priest and friar. You were ready to suffer martyrdom to spread the word of God, but humbly followed when God led you to Italy. May we follow your example of humble obedience to God’s will.

Finder of lost things, we rightly call on you when we are missing something like our keys or a treasured memento. Help us to seek your unfailing help when we are lost in our relationships with others or even with God. You could spot whether a man’s heart was with God or in his treasure chest. If we have lost our heart because it is in our treasure chest, help us to find it and reunite it with God.

Saint Anthony, you held the Christ Child in your arms. You are with Him now. Hear our prayers and grant your never-failing intercession.

O Mary Conceived Without Sin, Pray for Us Who have Recourse to You.

Saint Anthony of Padua, Pray for Us.

Sign Up for Mass – June 20-21 – Flocknotes has added a new “sign-up” feature, which enables Mass sign-up right within the program, thus eliminating the need for us to use an outside service like Sign-Up Genius. The new sign-up feature looks a little different than what we’ve used the last two weekends, but it’s still quick and easy to use!
To sign up for Mass the weekend of June 20-21:
  1. Click the sign-up link:  https://sjehydes.flocknote.com/signup/1757
  2. Select the number of people in your household who will be attending from the drop-down menu.
  3. If you’re already in the Flocknotes database, the system will recognize you when you click the sign-up button.  If not, enter a contact name and email or phone number if prompted.
  4. Close the sign-up window/tab.
  5. You’ll receive an email confirmation after your sign up is complete.
