Weekly Prayer & Update – November 13

This Week’s Gospel Reflection

Sunday, November 15 – 33rd Sunday in Ordinary Time

Contemplation from Lectio Divina

What conversion of mind, heart, and life is the Lord asking of me?

“A man going on a journey called in his servants and entrusted his possessions to them.” What gifts has God entrusted to me? How am I using those gifts?

“Since you were faithful in small matters, I will give you great responsibilities. Come, share your master’s joy.” How can I be more faithful in prayer and participation in the Church’s mission? How does my faith bring me joy?

“So out of fear I went off and buried your talent in the ground.” How do my fears keep me from living the life God calls me to live? How have I ignored my talents and those of others?

Lord, help us embrace your gifts in such a way that at the end of our time on this earth, we will hear You say, “Well done, my good and faithful servant… Come, share your master’s joy.”

Haiti Outreach Thank You

Last weekend we conducted our annual fundraising weekend in support of our Haitian sister parish, St. Michel d’ Atallye. Fr. Marc Edy Dessalines described all that he has been able to accomplish due to the support of our parishioners. We ask that you not forget our effort. Please return the yellow Haiti envelopes or go online to make your contribution so that we can continue our vital work. Thank you for all that you have done for those who are so much in need.
