This Week’s Sunday Gospel Reflection
Contemplation from Lectio Divina
What conversion of mind, heart, and life is the Lord asking of me?
You also testify, because you have been with me from the beginning.
How has God been present in my life? How can I testify to his presence?
The Spirit of truth … will guide you to all truth.
How can I discern what is true? What resources do I have to lead me to the truth?
Everything that the Father has is mine.
What has the Father given me? How can I respond to the Father in gratitude and generosity?

Pentecost is May 22-23
To symbolize the fire that rested over the heads of the first disciples as the Holy Spirit gave them the power to proclaim the Gospel, we encourage you to wear the color red to all Masses May 22-23.
Please also note that there will be special music for this important Solemnity at all Masses, including the 11:30 AM Mass.

COVID-19 Mass of Remembrance & Healing
May 30, 2021 at 9:00 AM – Trinity Sunday
The COVID-19 pandemic has affected all of us. Join us for a special Mass to pray for the victims of COVID-19 and the front-line medical professionals who have worked tirelessly during the pandemic.
We invite you to come, fill out a card, and place the names of those who have died or are currently battling COVID-19 at the altar for remembrance and healing. Special prayers and music will be offered during this Mass.
We will also celebrate those who have survived COVID-19 and honor the remarkable work of the front-line medical professionals who continue to battle this deadly virus.
Parish Office Closed on May 31
Next Food Pantry & Casserole Collection is Sunday, June 6
We will be collecting frozen casseroles for Our Daily Bread as well as non-perishable food items for the St. Elizabeth of Hungary Food Pantry on Sunday, June 6 from 8:30-11:30 AM in the parking lot in front of the parish office.
Volunteers for both efforts will have their cars parked there for the drop-off, and they will remove your donated items from your vehicle. Please do not bring any items into the narthex or the church hall. Casserole pans and recipes are available in the bin in front of the parish office.
The recipe may also be downloaded from our website www.sjehydes.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/our-daily-bread.pdf. We appreciate your donations to help feed those in need!
Family Fun Fest
Volunteers Needed for Family Fun Fest
The wearing of masks is no longer mandated on parish campuses in the Archdiocese of Baltimore; however, it is still strongly encouraged for those who are not vaccinated.
Social Distancing Reduced from 6 feet to 3 feet
We have reduced the social distancing requirement from 6 feet to 3 feet between congregants from different households.
Kindly maintain 3 feet of social distance in all directions. As you choose your seat, please be mindful to sit in a “checkerboard pattern” so that you are not sitting directly in front of or behind members from other households.
Congregational singing is now permitted with face masks. While we are not yet able to return hymnals to the pews, you may access the songs via the Worship Music Resource available on our website here.
The offertory collection has resumed during Mass via long-handled baskets that ushers/volunteers pass in and out of the pews.
“Treasures in the Hall” is Now Open!
