CHRISTMAS BLESSINGS TO YOU!
This Week’s Sunday Gospel Reflection
Readings available at www.usccb.org/readings
Sunday, December 27
What conversion of mind, heart, and life is the Lord asking of me?
“When you have found him, bring me word.”
Who was the first person who shared knowledge of Christ with me? With whom have I shared Christ?
“Then they opened their treasures and offered him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.”
What gifts do I have to offer the Lord? How can I place these gifts at the service of God and God’s people?
“And having been warned in a dream not to return to Herod, they departed for their country by another way.”
What people, places, or things turn me away from the Lord? How can I find another way so that I can avoid these things?

Christmas Cash Raffle
1 Ticket = 3 Chances to Win!
WE REALLY NEED YOUR HELP AND SUPPORT!
Because of COVID, St. John was forced to cancel our two biggest fundraisers of the parish (Spring Fling and the Wine Festival). Our parish really counts (and depends) on these events every year to raise approx. $50,000.
The St. John Christmas Cash Raffle is a great way to help the parish supplement this loss of revenue while giving yourself or your loved ones three chances to win with every ticket. Tickets are $25 each, and they make great Christmas gifts! For every 10 tickets purchased, you’ll receive the 11th ticket FREE!
We realize at this point that we won’t make our original goal, but if we could sell just 200 more tickets we could make $35,000 – won’t you please help?
WE ARE PRAYING THAT WE CAN MAKE THIS RAFFLE A HUGE SUCCESS TO SUPPORT OUR BELOVED ST. JOHN PARISH.
Four tickets were mailed to every registered family. If you’ve already purchased your tickets – a huge Thank You. If you’ve misplaced your tickets or need tickets (any number) – please contact Todd Depew directly at tdepew1@gmail.com.
The final collection of tickets and money will be after Mass on Saturday, January 2. The drawing will be on Sunday, January 3 after the 9:00 AM Mass (also livestreamed).
Be sure to watch the NEW VIDEO below from raffle chair Todd Depew!
Grand Prize = $3,000
2nd Prize = $2,000
3rd Prize = $1,000
Food Donation Drop-Off Next Sunday
We will be collecting frozen casseroles for Our Daily Bread as well as nonperishable
food items for the St. Elizabeth of Hungary Food Pantry on Sunday, January 3 from 8:30-11:30 AM in the parking lot next to the chapel/bell tower.
Volunteers for both efforts will have their cars parked there for the drop-off, and they will remove your donated items from your vehicle. For safety’s sake, please wear a facial mask when dropping off. Please do not bring any items into the narthex or the church hall.
Casserole pans and recipes are available in the bin in front of the parish office. The recipe may also be downloaded from our website here. We appreciate your donations to help feed those in need!
