Pentecost is June 9; Novena begins May 31

Pentecost Sunday is June 9. We celebrate the coming of the Holy Spirit upon the early followers of Jesus, who gathered from many parts of the world. We call it the birthday of the Church.

Beginning on May 31, you’re invited to pray for nine days for the indwelling of the Holy Spirit into our parish community. You may pick up a copy of the novena prayers in the narthex or in the chapel.

On Sunday, June 9 at 11:30 AM, children will receive national flags to carry in procession to the Peace Pole garden for a special prayer. Let’s wear red at Masses the weekend of June 8-9 to signify how our hearts are burning, filled with the Holy Spirit!
