May 14 Daily Prayer and Update

Today’s Prayer – May 14

by Sr. Carol Czyzewski, Director of Adult Faith Formation

Turning to You in humble prayer, dear God, we, Your chosen ones, beg for graces and blessings to truly live and act as fervent disciples during these COVID-19 times.

Through the intercession of Our Blessed Mother Mary and of St. Matthias, please grant our petitions:

That we commit ourselves anew to You, believing and embracing Your gospel message for this feast of St. Matthias:

Remain in my Love.  Keep my commandments. Love one another as I have loved you.  I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit. Ask the Father whatever you need in my name that he may give to you. John 15
  • That we obey and share Your words within daily relationships, during ongoing tasks at home and in public, and through the multifaceted ways that we communicate to family and friends.
  • That we witness the abundance of joy that Your love bestows upon our willing, open hearts, especially in caring outreach to the needy, to the professional risk-takers, and to the disgruntled citizens in society.
  • That the holy fruit of prayers and works glorify You, enlivening faith, hope, and love in lost, restless souls who yearn for the peace that flows only from life with You.
With hope and confidence, we pray through Christ our Lord. Amen.

What’s New

  • Once Baltimore County permits Phase 1 to begin, prior to offering public Masses at St. John, there are many factors that will need to be considered, including supply availability, preparation of church facilities, adequate personnel to sanitize surfaces, direct people, uphold guidelines, etc. We are looking forward to that time, but know that safety always comes first.

This means that until further notice, our Mass will be live-streamed on Facebook at 9 AM on Sundays, with no presence of the public.
