Today’s Prayer – June 3

BIBLE VERSES FOR PEACE

Look up these verses and read them…..then just continue reading the Bible and pray for peace in our nation.

Forgive us. Protect us. Defend us. Comfort us. Deliver us. Heal us.

Lord, hear! Lord, pardon! Lord, be attentive and act without delay, for your own sake, my God, because your name is invoked upon your city and your people!” Daniel 9:19

Arise! Shine, for your light has come, the glory of the LORD has dawned upon you. Though darkness covers the earth, and thick clouds, the peoples, Upon you the LORD will dawn, and over you his glory will be seen. Isaiah 60:1-2

Pour out Your Spirit on all of us. Acts 2:17

I will establish peace in the land, and you will lie down to rest with no one to cause you anxiety. I will rid the country of ravenous beasts, and no sword shall sweep across your land.  Leviticus 26:6

May the LORD give might to his people;* may the LORD bless his people with peace!  Psalm 29:11

My people will live in peaceful country, in secure dwellings and quiet resting places.  Isaiah 32:18

In peace I will lie down and fall asleep, for you alone, LORD, make me secure.  Psalm 4:9 

First of all, then, I ask that supplications, prayers, petitions, and thanksgivings be offered for everyone, for kings and for all in authority, that we may lead a quiet and tranquil life in all devotion and dignity. 1 Timothy 2:1-2 

Give honor to all, love the community, fear God, honor the king.1 Peter 2:17 

Seek the welfare of the city to which I have exiled you; pray for it to the LORD, for upon its welfare your own depends   Jeremiah 29:7

If then my people, upon whom my name has been pronounced, humble themselves and pray, and seek my face and turn from their evil ways, I will hear them from heaven and pardon their sins and heal their land.  2 Chronicles 7:14
