Today’s Prayer – June 25
by Sr. Carol Czyzewski, Director of Adult Faith Formation
Astonish, O Lord, astonish us, as never before, with Your teachings!
Guide us through your Gospel wisdom: Everyone who listens to these words of mine and acts on them will be like a wise man who built his house on rock. And everyone who listens to these words of mine but does not act on them will be like a fool who built his house on sand. The crowds were astonished at his teaching. Matt 7:21-29
Astonish us, Good God, with Your gifts, all that we need to build on rock!
Astonish us, Holy One, with sacraments and prayer that makes us your dwelling place!
Astonish us, Teacher of Wisdom, with lessons to share among family or strangers!
Astonish us, Forgiving Savior, when You pardon our foolishness of building on sand.
Astonish us, Divine Rock, whose abiding presence is our peace in times of suffering and trials.
Astonish us, Creator God, opening eyes and hearts to the urgency for justice and compassion in today’s world, so that we may dwell as sisters and brothers here and in our eternal home.

Today’s Update – June 25
Parish Office Gradual Reopening
Beginning Monday, July 6, the parish office will be open from 8 AM – 12 PM Monday through Friday. In order to safely resume operations, there are new protocols that must be followed – more details will be published soon, but we wanted to share the good news!
Outdoor Mass Begins Sunday, July 12 at 11:30 AM
Exciting News! We will begin celebrating the Sunday 11:30 AM Mass OUTDOORS as of Sunday, July 12. This is a shorter-Mass option for families who are not comfortable celebrating in a confined space. More details will be coming soon!
Our Daily Bread and St. Elizabeth of Hungary Food Pantry Collection
Once again this month, we will be coordinating the drop-off of both the frozen casseroles for Our Daily Bread as well as non-perishable food items for the St. Elizabeth of Hungary Food Pantry on Sunday, July 12 from 8:30-11:30 AM.
Due to the outdoor Mass at 11:30 AM that day, the drop-off location has been moved to the parking lot in front of the school building. Please do not bring any items into the narthex or the church hall.
Volunteers for both efforts will have their cars parked in front of the school for drop-off, and will remove your donated items from your vehicle. For safety’s sake, please wear a facial mask when dropping off.
Recipes and disposable casserole pans are available in the plastic bin in front of the parish office. The recipe is also available here.
Patriotic Music on July 4 @ the 5:00 PM Mass
The 5:00 PM Mass on Saturday, July 4 will feature patriotic preludes starting at 4:50 PM, with Dr. Luis Engelke, Professor of Trumpet at Towson University on trumpet and Doug Byerly on piano.
